Jermaine Dupri - Life In 1472

Got this yesterday from the Salvos on Old Perth Road in Bassendean. $2.

Not a fan at all of Dupri, okay he’s been responsible for some semi decent pop rap ish but could you name a hot line of his or a solo Jermaine track?

This is his debut album and the guest list includes the likes of Nas,Jay-Z,Slick Rick,Ma$e,Snoop Dogg & Warren G. Think dude is compensating for something?

N.W.A - Niggaz4Life

I haven’t heard many of the joints off this one and I won’t be anytime soon cause the mother fucker who donated it only gave the case. I could just youtube them but fuck that. Interesting track list doe, seems like the less success they got off this album was not mirrored by how shocking the titles of their songs are.. or was it? Nah it probably wasn’t..

LL Cool J – All World

LL Cool J - All World

$3 from Vinnies Myaree on the 18th of January 2013. I battled with the thought of purchasing this one for a while, never been a huge J fan. Greatest Hits albums are good for fair weathered fans.

Big Ole Butt & Doin’ It are two tracks to get the ladies sweatin’. Go for it

Snoop Doggy Dogg - Doggystyle

Got this bad boy from Good Sammy’s in Osborne Park on the 20th of January 2013. Bit steep at $4 but it’s a solid as fuck album.

Biggest sleeper on the album features the one and only Nate Deezy. Also “K.U.R.U.P.T any, you just bring my bottle of Remi/” is on there too.

Ghostface Killah – Ironman

Ghostface Killah - Ironman

I originally had a copy of this when I turned 17. The big homie Hasham ‘De La Fuse’ Khan got it for me, as well as Talib Kwelli’s ‘Ear Drum’. Ya boy got taste, apparently not without some help from the other big homie Shan.

I got this particular copy from Anglicare in Belmont on the 29/1/13 for 2 bucks.

So glad it’s come back to me, classic album, real cohesive vibe and hilarious quotables. But don’t take my word for it, why not let Ghostface do the talky rapping.

N.W.A – Express Yourself (Cassette Single)

$0.50 Vinnies Belmont – 29th January 2013

The B-Side to the 12 inch single of this was what emerged me into hip hop at the impressionable age of 10. “A Bitch Iz A Bitch” was my main house jam to bump, Dad would play the clean version of “Express Yourself” then I’d flip it when I wasn’t around and bust round the house droppin’ Ice Cube knowledge on fools.
